Glen Stolzenhein Glen is a Clinical Nurse Consultant with 20 years experience nursing individuals with SCI at the Prince Henry and Prince of Wales Hospitals. He has had experience in both acute and rehabilitation settings. Over the years Glen has seen significant changes in the way patients move through the acute and rehabilitation phases post spinal cord injury and the complex issues people face in returning back to active community participation. The spinal unit is rehabilitating people with more complex spinal cord injuries today and the challenge in the future will be to ensure there is realistic community funding for resources and appropriate accommodation to effectively transition people back to the community. Last year Glen participated in a study at the Medical Research Institute investigating Autonomic Dysreflexia looking at more effective ways of monitoring acute episodes of dysreflexia using skin blood flow as an indicator of increased blood pressure.
